Kip Stone came to the world of retail through the back door – literally. After many years of producing original t-shirts for resorts, zoos, museums and mom-and-pop stores around the country, he saw what customers craved – fresh designs, quality merchandise, a fun place to shop, and above all, friendly and courteous customer service.

Kip forged a relationship with his longtime Bar Harbor customer Cool As A Moose to open new stores in Freeport and Portland, Maine. After fulfilling a lifelong dream to compete in the world of solo sailing, Kip became the sole proprietor of Cool As A Moose.
